The plate and shell heat exchanger has the characteristics of high heat transfer efficiency. The material flows in the plate tube, the corrugated plate is used as the heat exchange interface, and the plate bundle is reinforced with a support plate outside. The cooling medium and the cooled medium exchange heat in the form of cross-flow and counter-flow between the plate side and the shell side formed in the plate bundle and its shell respectively; since the corrugated plate is only 0.7mm thick, the heat transfer efficiency is very high. The heat exchange efficiency is 2-3 times of the same volume shell and tube heat exchanger.
Observed from the flange opening, it was found that the equipment was blocked and the scale was serious.Among them, a large number of plastic fragments, rags, stones and other debris were accumulated on the plate bundle of the circulating water inlet of the plate and shell heat exchanger. The scale is blocked; and there are microorganisms in the heat exchanger, accompanied by foul smell. Because the plate-tube gap is only 2-3mm, the cross-sectional area of circulating water in the plate-shell heat exchanger is greatly reduced, resulting in a decrease in the circulating water passing through the plate and a serious uneven distribution. The heat exchange efficiency is reduced, which affects safe production. Therefore, the plate and shell heat exchanger should be cleaned up after a certain period of operation.
